Bloomberg Intelligence seeks a Corporate Governance Research Analyst in New York to lead coverage of governance, shareholder activism, and proxy contests. The role requires translating complex shareholder scenarios into actionable investment insights for portfolio managers and clients.

You will analyze governance materials, assess voting recommendations, and develop frameworks to evaluate activism vulnerabilities while collaborating across Bloomberg teams to expand datasets and deliver

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in equity research, governance, or related fields.
• Experience with proxy advisory, activism, and capital markets.
• Proven ability to translate complex shareholder situations into actionable insights.

Responsibilities

• Analyze annual meeting agendas, proxy statements, director elections and governance structures.
• Evaluate voting recommendations from ISS and Glass Lewis and assess influence on voting.
• Produce timely research on activist campaigns, proxy contests, and governance initiatives.
• Assess activist likelihood of success and strategic alternatives.
• Identify companies vulnerable to activist campaigns using financial and governance indicators.
• Develop thematic research on activism trends across industries and geographies.
• Present research to institutional investors through Bloomberg events and client meetings.
• Collaborate with BI teams to expand governance datasets.
