Job summary

Bloomberg L.P. in New York seeks Corporate Governance Counsel to support global governance matters, partnering with senior leadership across Legal, Compliance, Risk, Finance and Tax.

You will draft and review governance materials, manage corporate registers, and lead board meeting cycles for regulated subsidiaries. The role requires at least 5 years in corporate law, a JD, and active New York bar admission; strong drafting and communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to drive

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of corporate law practice in a top law firm or multinational in-house department.
• Ability to translate complex legal concepts for business leaders and non-legal teams.
• Experience drafting governance materials, disclosures and board materials.

Responsibilities

• Advise stakeholders on governance practices, laws and regulations.
• Draft and review agreements and governance materials.
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Finance, Tax and Treasury on corporate structures and entity arrangements.
• Lead board meeting preparation cycles for regulated subsidiaries, drafting materials, minutes and resolutions.
