Job summary

Northwest Bank seeks a Corporate Finance Analyst/Associate/Senior Associate to underwrite complex lending relationships within large corporate and middle‑market portfolios. You will perform in-depth qualitative and quantitative analysis at client, industry, and macroeconomic levels and design credit structures for senior leadership aligned with the bank's risk appetite.

Regular client contact and involvement in loan syndication materials are expected, with collaboration across Relationship

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required.
• 5–6 years in credit underwriting for corporate finance preferred.
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills essential.
• Experience structuring loans with appropriate covenants and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed credit memorandum for complex lending relationships.
• Complete comprehensive analysis on client financial statements.
• Recommend proper loan structure, including covenants and definitions.
• Identify credit strengths, weaknesses, risks and mitigating factors.
• Determine the required scope for underwriting and due diligence.
• Participate in joint calls with Relationship Managers.
• Maintain knowledge of macroeconomic factors affecting markets.
• Identify and track loan and credit policy exceptions.
• Monitor ongoing risk in the portfolio and take proactive action.
• Prepare annual or quarterly reviews and defend risk ratings.
• Review and negotiate legal documentation with outside counsel.
• Develop financial forecasts and enterprise valuations.
• Ensure compliance with bank policies and regulations.
• Navigate MS Office and department software to maximize efficiency.
• Work as part of a team.
• Work with on-site equipment.
