Job summary

BBVA is seeking a Senior Analyst in Global Risk Management in our New York office. The role involves independent underwriting, reviewing corporate clients, and supporting credit decisions across cash flow lending, facilities, structured and leveraged finance.

You will work with senior credit officers to develop credit judgments, monitor risk, and broaden product knowledge across industries. A strong financial background and collaboration with cross-functional teams are essential.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of progressive experience in credit risk management across corporate, structured, and leveraged finance.
• Strong understanding of credit underwriting, financial analysis, and risk assessment.
• Experience with loan documentation, trade finance instruments, and ISDA agreements.

Responsibilities

• Perform credit analysis and underwriting for corporate clients across a broad range of relationship banking products.
• Analyze historical and projected financial performance, liquidity, leverage, and cash flow generation.
• Review transaction structures, collateral packages, covenants, guarantees, and other protections.
• Prepare clear credit memoranda and risk recommendations for senior officers and committees.
• Conduct annual credit reviews, covenant compliance, amendments, waivers, and restructurings.
• Collaborate with Relationship Managers, Product Specialists, Legal, and Operations to facilitate execution.
