Job summary

BBVA, a leading international bank, is seeking an Associate Lead Corporate Credit Underwriter in New York. The role focuses on credit underwriting, analytical review, and risk assessment across cash flow loans, structured finance, and derivatives for a diversified corporate client portfolio.

The candidate should have 5–7 years in corporate banking, credit risk, leveraged finance, or related functions, plus a strong grasp of loan documentation and ISDA agreements.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of progressive experience in credit risk management within corporate/structured/ leveraged finance.
• Strong understanding of credit underwriting and risk assessment across diverse structures and products.
• Familiarity with loan documentation, trade finance instruments, and ISDA agreements.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed financial analysis of borrower's statements, projections, cash flow forecasts, and stress scenarios.
• Review loan documentation and other transaction documents for key credit, structural, and legal risks to escalate as needed.
• Evaluate transaction structures, credit terms, collateral, covenants, and other risk mitigants for alignment with bank policies.
