Job summary

US AI in North Bethesda, MD seeks an experienced Corporate Counsel to draft and negotiate complex commercial and technology contracts, provide practical legal guidance, and support strategic partnerships. Requirements include a Juris Doctor, active law license (Maryland preferred), 7+ years in a tech-focused setting, and the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Active law license required; Maryland bar preferred.
• 7+ years as a practicing attorney in fast-paced tech settings.
• Experience with high-volume transactional drafting, reviewing and negotiating.
• Experience in technology products and/or government contracting.

Responsibilities

• Structure, draft, and negotiate complex commercial agreements with customers and partners, including technology-related agreements, professional services agreements, nondisclosure agreements and data sharing agreements.
• Provide legal review, advice, and support on strategic transactional documents, commercial contracting, licensing, quality and operations, transactional and general corporate matters.
• Negotiate deals and form partnerships to drive growth.
• Advise leadership on contract interpretation, dispute resolution, risk allocation and other legal matters.
• Provide guidance and contract interpretation to leadership team.
