Job summary

Yardi is seeking a Corporate Counsel in Santa Barbara to manage litigation, investigations, and employment matters while partnering with business leaders across the organization.

You will help develop legal strategies, assess risk, provide regulatory guidance, and support sound business decisions. The ideal candidate has five years of litigation experience and can communicate complex issues to diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Must have a law degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active bar membership in good standing in at least one US jurisdiction.
• Five years of relevant legal experience, including litigation.
• Knowledge of litigation procedures, investigations, dispute resolution, and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to manage matters independently while collaborating across the Litigation Team.
• Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines; communicate complex legal concepts clearly.
• Proficiency with standard business applications and legal research tools.
• Occasional travel required (approximately 5–15%).

Responsibilities

• Manage litigation, investigations, regulatory matters, and business disputes while supporting the company's overall legal strategy and risk management efforts.
• Partner with senior attorneys, company leaders, and cross-functional teams to develop and execute effective strategies for resolving legal matters and protecting business interests.
• Provide practical legal guidance to internal stakeholders on complex issues, helping drive informed business decisions and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee and collaborate with outside counsel to ensure efficient case management, strategic alignment, and successful dispute resolution.
• Support the Litigation Team across a diverse portfolio of matters, balancing legal risk, business objectives, and organizational priorities.
