Job summary

Yardi Systems is seeking a Corporate Counsel to provide legal guidance across a wide range of business activities in New York. You will help navigate evolving laws, manage risk, resolve disputes, and draft smart contracts to support growth.

The ideal candidate has a JD, active US Bar membership, 5–8 years of experience, and the ability to work with leadership and external partners in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• J.D. from ABA-accredited law school required.
• Active U.S. Bar membership with no disciplinary record.
• 5–8 years of relevant legal experience (firm or in-house).
• Litigation management experience in state and federal court.
• Familiarity with or ability to learn FCRA, privacy and payment processing rules.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical legal advice on a wide range of regulatory, business and compliance matters.
• Collaborate with internal teams to assess risk, resolve issues, and support business goals.
• Draft, negotiate, and finalize sales agreements and other documents to protect the company.
• Review laws and monitor regulatory changes to ensure ongoing compliance.
