Job summary

Yardi Systems is seeking a Corporate Counsel in Santa Barbara to provide practical legal advice across business, regulatory and compliance matters. You will collaborate with leadership, regulators, and external partners to manage risk and draft contracts that protect and promote growth.

The ideal candidate has a JD from an ABA-accredited school, US Bar admission, 5–8 years of experience, and familiarity with FCRA, privacy and SaaS considerations.

Qualifications

• Law degree from ABA-accredited law school.
• Active Bar membership in the United States with no record of discipline.
• Five to eight years of relevant legal experience (firm or in-house).
• Litigation management experience in state and federal court.
• Working knowledge of FCRA, privacy rules and regulations, payment processing rules.
• Understanding of software development, relational databases, cloud computing, and SaaS.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical legal advice and strategic support on a wide range of business, regulatory, and compliance matters.
• Collaborate with internal teams to assess risk, resolve issues, and support business goals.
• Draft, negotiate, and finalize sales agreements, contracts, and other documents to protect the company.
• Review current and monitor changing laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
