Job summary

Silfab Solar Inc. seeks a Legal Director to guide the company on regulatory compliance, employment and contract law, and corporate governance.

You will drive risk mitigation, oversee external counsel, manage the legal budget, and support M&A activities across the organization. Based in Fort Mill, SC, this on-site role requires a JD with SC license (Washington preferred) and a proven track record leading in-house teams within manufacturing or energy sectors; outstanding negotiation, leadership,

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school
• Active license to practice law in South Carolina (preferably Washington)
• 5+ years relevant legal experience in corporate or in-house setting
• Strong knowledge of employment, contract, and corporate governance

Responsibilities

• Regulatory Compliance: Advise on federal, state, and local regulations impacting solar manufacturing and related compliance.
• Corporate Governance: Support governance activities including policies, bylaws, board resolutions, and filings.
• Employment Law: Guidance on hiring, terminations, policies, and compliance with labor laws; draft agreements.
• Contract Law: Draft, negotiate, and review commercial contracts; manage lifecycle, renewals, and dispute resolution.
• General Legal Support: Collaborate with finance, operations, R&D; manage IP; coordinate external counsel
