Cars Commerce is seeking a Senior Corporate Counsel to collaborate with and advise key stakeholders across the enterprise in a fast-paced, remote-first environment. This hands-on role requires self-starting capabilities and interaction with senior leaders to steer strategic legal outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have a US bar license, strong corporate experience, and a proven track record negotiating complex contracts, with knowledge of US/Canadian employment, data privacy, and consumer

Competenze

• Active, good standing license with at least one U.S. state bar.
• General corporate experience at a law firm or in-house legal department performing similar duties.

Mansioni

• Provide general legal counsel and advice to non-attorney business stakeholders concisely and precisely.
• Advise on compliance, consumer protection, cybersecurity, data privacy, and employment laws in the U.S. and Canada.
• Negotiate, review, and draft employment contracts and various commercial contracts (subscriptions, SaaS, NDAs, leases, advertising) in high-volume settings.
• Review policies for compliance with federal, state, and local laws as necessary.
• Perform ad hoc legal research for current and new initiatives.
• Minimize risk by reviewing advertising materials for compliance with state consumer protection laws.
• Monitor data licensing activity, software agreements, and trademark usage.
• Provide strategic analysis for new business matters and potential litigation; manage litigation with outside counsel.
• Support due diligence in mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance.
• Uphold Cars Commerce integrity and goodwill.
