Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Secaucus, NJ is seeking a Senior Corporate Counsel to lead mergers and acquisitions, negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, and provide general commercial counseling. The role may be based at the Secaucus headquarters or a mutually agreed location and reports to the Legal Management Team.

The successful candidate has at least seven years in M&A/transactions and commercial contracting, is licensed to practice law, and holds a JD and undergraduate degree.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years in mergers and acquisitions and commercial contracting.
• Duly licensed to practice law with strong academic credentials.
• JD and undergraduate degree; background in science preferred.
• Ability to lead deals and influence senior leadership.
• Excellent communication and transactional skills.
• Experience with health care or healthcare industry a plus.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Support and manage all aspects of M&A transactions, due diligence, and redlining.
• Draft and negotiate licensing, collaboration, and master service agreements.
• Provide strategic legal advice on product launches and business initiatives.
• Counsel on regulatory issues including anti-corruption and fraud laws.
• Develop training for clients and cross-functional teams.
• Coordinate with internal teams and outside deal counsel.
• Other duties as assigned.
