Caterpillar Inc. is seeking an attorney to join its in-house litigation group. The successful candidate will provide legal support on mass tort litigation matters, including eDiscovery, legal holds, case strategy, discovery, motions, trial, and appellate practice. The role involves working directly with outside counsel on case assessments, budgets, and billings, often collaborating with other legal practice areas and the Global Government and Corporate Affairs Division.
The attorney will work internally with paralegals, engineers, the eDiscovery group, Legal IT, witnesses, and may participate in cross-functional teams. The candidate should be comfortable counseling business managers on risk management and commercial issues.
