Corporate Claim Litigation Attorney Expert (Remote)

Overview

We are seeking a Corporate Claim Litigation Attorney Expert to join our Law Department’s Claim Litigation team, which provides legal advice on claims involving allegations of bad faith and extra-contractual exposure.

Responsibilities

• Manage claims involving bad faith, extra-contractual issues, and high exposure litigation.
• Analyze legal and factual issues related to claims.
• Advise the Claims Organization on legal strategies, risk mitigation, and resolution recommendations.
• Prepare settlement recommendations for claims with significant legal exposure.
• Collaborate with outside counsel and internal teams on complex litigation.
• Develop claims handling strategies in coordination with business partners.
• Provide legal guidance on litigation strategies and emerging legal issues.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor and active membership in good standing in the practicing state.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in insurance defense, preferably including bad faith and extra-contractual litigation.
• Strong communication, research, and writing skills.
• Experience managing or litigating high-exposure claims.

Functional Skills

• Project and vendor management experience.
• Ability to supervise and coach junior team members.
• Proficiency in MS Office and legal research tools like LexisNexis.
• Insurance defense experience required; property claims experience preferred.

Additional Details

Salary range: $104,000 - $187,625 annually, based on experience.

This role does not include supervisory responsibilities.
