Job summary

Brook & Whittle Ltd. is seeking a Corporate Attorney to provide comprehensive legal support across commercial, supply, and general contracts, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and risk management.

This role partners with executive leadership and key departments, may serve as de facto General Counsel, and will lead contract templates, policies, and coordination with outside counsel. The ideal candidate has a JD and 5–10+ years of experience in a manufacturing-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• JD and admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 5–10+ years of legal experience, with mix of law firm and in-house experience, preferably in manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Strong background in commercial contracting and corporate/general business law; experience with supply chain, procurement, and manufacturing operations preferred.
• Familiarity with regulatory and compliance issues relevant to manufacturing (product safety, environmental regulation, trade compliance, data/privacy).
• Proven ability to manage outside counsel and legal budgets effectively.
• Proactive business advisor, enabling growth while managing risk.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day legal advice to senior management and business teams on commercial, operational, and corporate matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a broad spectrum of contracts (customer/supplier agreements, NDAs, MSAs, IT/service, logistics, tooling) to align with business objectives and manage risk.
• Support manufacturing, supply chain, and procurement with legally sound terms on quality, delivery, warranties, indemnity, liability limits, force majeure, and change management.
• Oversee company policies for compliance with federal, state, and local laws and industry regulations ( product safety, environmental, export controls, trade compliance).
• Manage litigation and disputes, coordinate with outside counsel, and supervise as needed.
