About the Role

GS2 has partnered with a fast-growing global data center and energy infrastructure platform. We are seeking a strategic, business minded Senior Corporate Counsel to join the legal leadership team.

In this role, you will take full ownership of high value operational infrastructure transactions, real estate site development, and commercial power procurement, while acting as a key strategic partner to senior legal and executive leadership on corporate M&A, joint ventures, and global growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Infrastructure & Commercial Development: Lead, negotiate, and structure highly complex operational transactions, including utility scale power supply contracts, commercial land acquisitions, ground leases, site control agreements, and project development frameworks.
• Corporate M&A & Strategic Growth: Drive end to end deal execution, structuring, complex due diligence, and post-closing integration for corporate acquisitions, joint ventures, and asset dispositions in close collaboration with the General Counsel.
• Strategic Business Advisory: Serve as a primary legal advisor to executive leadership, project development, and engineering teams to accelerate project delivery, mitigate enterprise risk, and enable scalable operational growth.

Qualifications

• Training: Minimum 6-9+ years of post-qualification transactional experience, including significant early career foundational training as an associate at an Am Law 100/200 law firm.
• Domain Focus: Proven track record of independently leading complex deal execution in at least one (and ideally multiple) of the following areas:
• Energy infrastructure, utility scale power procurement, or project finance.
• Commercial real estate development, complex ground leasing, and strategic land acquisitions.
• Strategic corporate M&A, joint ventures, and private equity transactions.
• Autonomy & Judgment: Demonstrated capacity to operate with high autonomy, manage cross functional stakeholders, and deliver business focused legal solutions under aggressive timelines.
