Une entreprise de construction en pleine croissance cherche un Conseiller Juridique pour fournir des conseils juridiques à l'équipe. Le candidat idéal aura un JD d'une école de droit accréditée, minimum 10 ans d'expérience en droit de la construction et devra être membre du barreau du Texas. Ce poste est un contributeur individuel qui travaille directement avec le VP et le département juridique pour aligner les objectifs commerciaux et les tolérances aux risques.

Job description

Provides legal guidance on daily operations and strategic projects to align with business goals and risk tolerance. Drafts and negotiates contracts, develops corporate policies, and manages outside counsel. Collaborates with the VP, General Counsel, and Legal team.

What you'll do :

  • Provides consultation to business units on day-to-day legal issues and special projects enabling the company to achieve business objectives consistent with risk tolerance.
  • Develops, reviews and manages implementation of corporate policies and procedures.
  • Drafts, reviews and negotiates contracts and other legal documents.
  • Partners with VP, General Counsel and Legal Department, generally on strategic business objectives.
  • Manages outside counsel on corporate, employment and other matters, as well as special projects.
  • Develops and provides training to employees on key legal issues.
  • This position is an individual contributor.

What you'll need to be successful :

  • Creative, innovative team player with positive attitude and excellent communication and interpersonal skills who displays discretion and sound judgment in all legal matters
  • Strong research, drafting, negotiating and analytical skills; must be detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Excellent oral communications skills; ability to communicate effectively in presentations and express complex strategies in an organized and articulate manner Must be responsive and flexible to a variety of business needs, able to manage multiple priorities, and adapt quickly to change
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, and legal documents
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or correspondence from regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
  • Ability to effectively present information to senior management

What you bring to the table :

  • Graduate from accredited law school with a JD degree
  • Minimum 10 years' relevant construction law experience
  • Member in good standing of the Texas bar
