Job summary

Imperative Logistics Group is seeking a Corporate Controller to lead the finance organization, owning close, consolidation, and finance transformation initiatives. You will guide GAAP-compliant reporting, internal controls, and cross‑functional process improvements across multiple locations.

The role requires a CPA, deep GAAP knowledge, and experience in system implementations and consolidations. Located in Illinois, with responsibilities across a distributed organization, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Active CPA required.
• 7+ years progressive accounting/finance experience, including consolidation and financial reporting.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and GAAP-compliant operations.
• Experience leading system implementations, integrations, or accounting transformations.
• Strong Excel skills for scalable models and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close with consolidation across units.
• Ensure GAAP-compliant financial reporting and strong internal controls.
• Coordinate monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Maintain the Accounting Policy Manual aligned with GAAP.
• Lead the annual external audit with auditors and finance teams.
• Oversee Workday Adaptive and SAP Concur system administration and integrations.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve processes and scalability.
