Job summary

Danny Wimmer Presents in Los Angeles is seeking a Vice President and Corporate Controller to lead accounting operations, ensure GAAP-compliant reporting, and strengthen internal controls. You will build scalable processes and drive timely close, audit readiness, and financial visibility across the organization.

This role reports to the CFO, collaborating with leaders in operations, marketing, and ticketing, and will guide a high-performing team through close cycles, audits, and strategic

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of progressive accounting experience with leadership in corporate controller roles.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, ASC guidance, consolidations, internal controls and audit requirements.
• Experience in a complex multi-entity environment with treasury, intercompany accounting, and consolidations.
• Hands-on NetSuite experience; familiarity with ERP integrations, automation, and AI-enabled tools preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance; CPA strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting organization to ensure accurate, timely close, reporting, audit, tax, settlement, and compliance requirements.
• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close with schedules, review standards, ownership, and accountability.
• Oversee GL, accounts payable, reconciliations, consolidations, intercompany activity, and subsidiary reporting.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls; strengthen accounting governance and audit readiness.
• Lead annual financial statement audit and coordinate deliverables with auditors.
• Oversee cash positioning, liquidity monitoring, banking administration, and cash-flow forecasting.
• Lead the finance systems roadmap (NetSuite optimization, automation, and AI-enabled tools).
• Partner with business leaders to improve financial visibility and decision-making.
• Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing accounting team; support CFO on liquidity planning.
