Job summary

Danny Wimmer Presents, a live events company, seeks a Senior Vice President/Corporate Controller to lead accounting operations and reporting. The role requires building scalable controls, managing audits, and partnering with executives to improve financial visibility.

The position is hybrid, with base responsibilities in Los Angeles or Nashville, and offers long-term growth opportunities within a fast-paced entertainment environment. Strong CPA and 10+ years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with leadership roles such as Corporate Controller or VP of Accounting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, ASC guidance, consolidations, internal controls, and audit requirements.
• Experience leading close processes, multi-entity environments, and building scalable finance processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting organization and ensure timely close, reporting, audit, tax, and compliance.
• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close with schedules and accountability.
• Oversee general ledger, payables, reconciliations, consolidations, intercompany activity, and subsidiary reporting.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and adherence to company policies.
• Strengthen internal controls and audit readiness.
• Lead annual financial statement audit with internal teams and external auditors.
• Manage cash positioning, liquidity monitoring, and cash-flow forecasting.
• Drive finance systems roadmap, including NetSuite optimization and AI-enabled tools.
• Partner with business leaders to improve financial visibility and decision-making.
• Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing accounting team.
