Job summary

Promera is seeking a Corporate Controller in Charlotte, NC to oversee month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, audit coordination, tax compliance, and cash management. You will develop a high-performing accounting team and ensure robust internal controls.

The role requires leading the general ledger, AP, AR, payroll, fixed assets, and cash forecasting, while partnering with Operations, Sales, and HR to improve financial visibility and strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing accounting teams.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting.
• Experience leading month-end and year-end close processes.
• Experience working with ERP systems and advanced Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Multi-entity and multi-state accounting experience.
• Experience supporting acquisitions, integrations, or business growth initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead all corporate accounting functions, including general ledger, AP, AR, payroll, fixed assets, cash management and reconciliations.
• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with GAAP-compliant reporting.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, delivering insights to leadership.
• Develop and enforce internal controls, policies, and procedures.
• Oversee audits, tax compliance, banking relationships, and debt covenants.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial forecasting.
• Partner with Operations, Sales, HR and executives to improve financial visibility.
• Lead annual budgeting and financial planning activities.
• Drive automation and improvements to ERP and reporting systems.
• Support M&A activities with financial analysis and integration support.
• Recruit and mentor a high-performing accounting team.
