Job summary

Wall Street Careers® is seeking an Alternative Credit Manager with deep expertise in US GAAP to lead the corporate accounting function for an investment manager with over $100 billion in AUM. The role focuses on revenue recognition, consolidation, and equity-method accounting across complex entity structures.

You will drive budgeting, forecasting, and profitability reporting by vehicle and business segment, while coordinating audits and tax matters with external advisors.

Qualifications

• CPA strongly preferred.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge including revenue recognition, consolidation and equity method accounting.
• Experience with intercompany accounting and investment manager economics is essential.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with GL and consolidation systems.
• Hands-on experience in public accounting and transition to an alternative investment manager is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Lead corporate accounting for the investment manager and related entities, including entity closes and intercompany activity.
• Oversee fee revenue calculations and recognition across funds, vehicles, and accounts.
• Prepare GAAP financial statements and internal reports; explain results to CFO and executives.
• Manage annual budgeting/forecasts and profitability reporting by business segment.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors on audits and filings.
• Oversee liquidity management, cash projections, and intercompany funding across entities.
• Improve controls and upgrade systems to scale with growth.
