Job summary

Bruin, a leading alternative investment firm in New York, seeks a Senior Associate to join its Management Company Accounting team. You will be responsible for financial reporting, close processes and internal controls across management company entities, enabling accurate and timely statements.

You will collaborate with Finance, Tax and Legal, drive process improvements, and support system enhancements and accounting transformations to streamline the financial infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant experience.
• CPA is required.
• Background in alternative asset management, investment management, financial services or public accounting.
• Experience with management company, corporate or legal entity accounting is strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, close processes and internal controls.
• Experience preparing and/or reviewing financial statements and supporting complex accounting matters.
• Experience with automation, systems implementations or accounting transformation initiatives is a plus.
