Job summary

NexHealth, Inc. in San Francisco, CA, seeks a Senior Accounting Manager to own the books and drive a fast, auditable close with modern data and AI tooling. You will lead offshore teams, maintain GAAP standards, and build automation for core accounting tasks. This role blends rigorous accounting with scalable, data-driven processes.

You will manage equity and payroll systems, partner with data science, and prepare for audits, shaping NexHealth’s financial operations as we scale.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience running month-end close in scaling SaaS/tech companies.
• Active CPA license required.
• Experience leading offshore accounting teams across time zones.
• Track record building automation with LLMs or agentic workflows.
• Strong internal controls, data completeness, and audit trail design.
• Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with Snowflake or similar data warehouse.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite, payroll systems like Rippling, spend management tools, BI (Sigma/Looker), and Carta.
• Ability to translate issues into practical policies and entries.
• Clear communication with cross-functional partners and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own the month-end close end to end, targeting a 4-business-day close.
• Lead offshore accounting team with clear priorities and checklists.
• Ensure GAAP financial statements are accurate across all accounts.
• Design and ship automation and AI agents for core accounting work.
• Own payroll accounting for international hires via Rippling with accurate accruals.
• Partner on equity management in Carta and cap table reconciliation.
• Build dashboards in Sigma for leadership runtime of business.
• Collaborate with Data Science to improve the finance data warehouse in Snowflake.
• Lead audit readiness with external auditors and respond to requests on time.
• Surface risks and document decisions to scale processes.
