Job summary

Ares Management Corporation is seeking an experienced Senior Associate for the Corporate Accounting team focusing on operating expenses and accruals. This role supports monthly close, analyses for senior management, and external reporting under the CAO. Flexible, fast-paced environment and collaboration across global teams are emphasized.

Candidates should have 5+ years of relevant experience, strong U.S. GAAP knowledge, and proficiency in Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• Master’s degree in accounting is a plus.
• CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with external firms and internal stakeholders to gather information and prepare accruals and related analyses.
• Review journal entries and cash reconciliations prepared by third party cash reconciliation team.
• Perform monthly and quarterly analyses of operating expenses for Senior Management.
• Prepare departmental operating expense analyses and review with Department Heads.
• Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Partner with auditors and tax/relationship management groups to provide support.
