Munich Re America Services in Princeton, NJ seeks a Senior Corporate Accountant to lead Solvency II reporting, Pension accounting, and IFRS close processes. You will drive ORCS and MARSOX activities, partner with management, and perform technical accounting research for Princeton entities.

The role requires strong accounting knowledge across Solvency II and IFRS, CPA-level expertise, and the ability to work under tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• BS in Accounting required.
• 5+ years experience in reinsurance or insurance accounting, Solvency II financial statement preparation and reporting.
• CPA or pursuing CPA certification.
• 5+ years experience with SAP financial systems.
• Knowledge of Solvency II and IFRS accounting guidance/principles.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and resolve complex issues.
• Adaptable to ambiguity, uncertainty, and change.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across levels.

Responsibilities

• Adapt quickly to evolving Solvency II reporting requirements, financial data, systems, and workflows.
• Evaluate and resolve complex reporting issues accurately within tight deadlines.
• Analyze front-end accounting systems, transactional workflows, and their impact on the company's financial statements.
• Drive efficient and effective improvements to financial reporting processes.
• Apply technical knowledge across multiple bases of accounting to support accurate Solvency II reporting.
• Coordinate effectively with colleagues and senior management across the organization.
• Research, assess, and implement new accounting guidance in a timely and accurate manner.
