Job summary

Venteon Finance is seeking a Senior Corporate Accountant for a growing manufacturing client in the Detroit area. The role focuses on leading financial consolidation across multiple entities and ensuring accurate reporting under US GAAP.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's in Accounting with 5–7+ years of consolidation experience and CPA designation (preferred but not required). This position drives close activities and internal controls within a dynamic finance team.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial consolidation across legal entities and business units.
• Prepare, record, and review consolidation entries and intercompany eliminations.
• Reconcile intercompany transactions and investigate differences with BU finance teams.
• Prepare consolidated financial statements and management reporting packages in accordance with US GAAP.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities and deliver corporate accounting deliverables.

REQUIREMENTS of the Senior Corporate Accountant role

• Consolidation Accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP

RESPONSIBILITIES of the Senior Corporate Accountant

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial consolidation activities across legal entities and business units.
• Prepare, record, and review consolidation entries, entity-level entries, and intercompany eliminating entries
• Reconcile intercompany transactions and balances, investigate differences, and coordinate timely resolution with business unit finance teams
• Prepare consolidated financial statements, management reports, supporting schedules, and financial reporting packages in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company reporting requirements
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities and complete corporate accounting deliverables according to the reporting calendar

Assist the Corporate Controller with technical accounting research, internal controls, special projects, and finance process improvements

Identify and implement opportunities to improve, standardize, and automate consolidation, reconciliation, and reporting processes
