Job summary

Venteon Finance is currently seeking a Financial Reporting Analyst for a long-time growing client in Southfield, MI. This role emphasizes the consolidation of subsidiary financial statements and the preparation of SEC filings.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with 2+ years of related experience; CPA designation is preferred. Prior public accounting experience and exposure to SEC registrants are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• 2+ years of related experience is required.
• CPA designation preferred.
• Public Accounting firm experience is preferred.
• Exposure to SEC Registrants preferred.

Responsibilities

• Consolidate subsidiary financial statements.
• Assist in preparation and timely submission of SEC filings (8-Ks, 10-Ks and proxy) and supplemental reporting.
• Research accounting regulations and SEC disclosure requirements.
• Provide technical accounting consultation regarding US GAAP.
• Prepare various monthly internal reports.
• Handle journal entries and financial analytics for specialized areas.
• Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts and prepare supporting work papers for external audit.
• Support other duties and special projects as needed.
