Job summary

Venteon Finance is seeking a Senior Corporate Accountant for a growing manufacturing client in the Detroit area. You will lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial consolidations across entities, prepare entries, and reconcile intercompany balances to ensure accurate reporting.

The role requires 5–7+ years in corporate accounting, strong US GAAP knowledge, and the ability to drive process improvements in close cycles and financial reporting packages for management and compliance purposes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• CPA designation preferred, not required.
• 5–7+ years of experience in corporate accounting.
• Consolidation accounting experience required.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial consolidation activities across legal entities and business units.
• Prepare, record, and review consolidation entries, entity-level entries, and intercompany eliminating entries.
• Reconcile intercompany transactions and balances, investigate differences, and coordinate timely resolution with business unit finance teams.
• Prepare consolidated financial statements, management reports, supporting schedules, and financial reporting packages in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company reporting requirements.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities and complete corporate accounting deliverables according to the reporting calendar.
• Assist the Corporate Controller with technical accounting research, internal controls, special projects, and finance process improvements.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve, standardize, and automate consolidation, reconciliation, and reporting processes.
