Venteon Finance is seeking a Financial Reporting Analyst for a long-time growing client in Southfield, Michigan. The role focuses on consolidating subsidiary financial statements, preparing SEC filings, and providing technical accounting guidance under US GAAP.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s in Accounting, 2+ years of related experience, and CPA designation is preferred, with exposure to SEC registrants and prior public accounting experience highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
• 2+ years of related experience.
• CPA designation is preferred.
• Experience in public accounting is preferred.
• Exposure to SEC registrants is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs consolidation of subsidiary financial statements.
• Assists in preparation and timely submission of SEC filings (8-Ks, 10-Ks and proxy) and supplemental reporting.
• Assists in researching accounting regulations and SEC disclosure requirements.
• Provides technical accounting consultation regarding US GAAP.
• Prepares various monthly internal reports.
• Handles accounting journal entries and financial analytics for various specialized areas.
• Reconciles assigned balance sheet accounts and prepares supporting work papers for the external audit.
• Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

CPA designation preferred
