Your Mission: The Senior Coordinator of Stewardship and Engagement supports Sun Health Foundation's mission by managing year-round strategies that foster meaningful relationships with donors, scholarship participants, employees, and community stakeholders. This role coordinates personalized communications, acknowledgments, events, and engagement initiatives to help stakeholders feel informed, appreciated, and connected to the organization's impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the lead for stewardship, public information, and committee relations for all Sun Health Foundation scholarship programs.
• Support strategic management, compliance, and cultivation of scholarship donor relationships, ensuring gifts align with donor intent while maximizing student impact.
• Partner with database and gift processing staff to ensure that awards are allocated accurately and scholarship data is recorded in database.
• Coordinate thank ‑ you videos and notes to strengthen donor loyalty; organize scholarship events that recognize recipients and engage donors.
• Collect and share qualitative and quantitative data to support scholarship ‑ related storytelling and illustrate donor impact.
• Respond to scholarship inquiries and conduct information sessions at Sun Health Foundation and partner medical centers.
• Build relationships with financial aid offices at schools to support a seamless experience for recipients.
• Serve as the liaison between scholarship programs and Sun Health Scholarship Oversight Committee and support information‑sharing across scholarship committees.
• Schedule, attend, and take minutes for the Warren D. Ruff Scholarship Selection Committee; support the selection process; and collaborate with gift processing to ensure timely distribution of checks to schools.
• Attend resident ‑ sponsored scholarship committee meetings and distribute monthly donor report and scholarship checks to committees.

Donor Stewardship

• Develop and execute strategies for nurturing and maintaining relationships with Sun Health Foundation donors across all initiatives and programs.
• Tailor communication and engagement efforts to donor preferences and ensure donors understand how contributions are utilized.
• Support the creation of the annual impact report, monthly newsletter, and other periodic communications that demonstrate the impact of donations and convey the organization's mission and successes. Collaborate with supervisor to establish printing timelines and manage deliverables with external print vendors/print house.
• Execute the donor acknowledgement process, providing timely and genuine digital and print thank you letters and refreshing content periodically.
• Develop and implement creative strategies for expressing gratitude to donors (e.g., social media, video messages, personalized print communications).
• Organize and execute strategic stewardship events such as donor wall unveilings; recognition/appreciation events; and major gift dedications.
• Manage recognition societies and donor programs and implement strategies for engaging donors with the organization.
• Collaborate with Directors of Philanthropy to ensure appropriate recognition for major/planned giving donors.
• Establish and maintain a new donor welcome program.
• Seek input from donors about their experience with Sun Health Foundation and implement changes in response to feedback.

Employee Engagement

• Design and implement initiatives that enhance employee giving and volunteering in connection with the organization's mission, fostering a culture of philanthropy and community impact.
• Plan, manage, and promote internal giving campaigns, including annual and peer‑to‑peer fundraising initiatives. Coordinate communications, track participation, and report results.
• Develop and manage employee volunteer opportunities for Sun Health Foundation and community service events.
• Identify and build strategic relationships with select, local nonprofits aligned with Sun Health Foundation's missions and design employee engagement opportunities.
• Develop content for newsletters, intranet, and presentations highlighting employee participation and impact.
• Recognize and celebrate employee contributions to philanthropic and volunteer programs.

Skills and Knowledge:

• Strong relationship ‑ building and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including storytelling and donor ‑ facing content creation.
• Proficiency with donor management databases and the ability to run queries and generate reports.
• Strong project management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Event planning and logistics experience.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Creative thinking to develop meaningful stewardship strategies.
• Strong administrative skills, including taking accurate minutes and managing documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; comfort with basic design or video ‑ editing tools (preferred).
• Ability to work well under pressure, solve problems, and exercise sound judgment.
• Must possess or be able to obtain an Arizona Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card; must pass a background check and pre-employment drug test. Ability to travel in own vehicle with current driver’s license and auto insurance (required).

Education and Experience :

• Bachelor's degree in social science, communication, or related field (required).
• At least five years' related experience, including at least three years in a nonprofit setting (required).
• At least two year of experience managing scholarship funds or employee giving programs (required).
• At least one years' experience in donor relations (preferred).
