Chartwells Higher Education Dining Services in Cookeville, TN is seeking a Senior Cook for full-time placement at Tennessee Tech University. The role focuses on preparing nutritious, flavorful meals in compliance with federal, state, local and company standards.

The Senior Cook will supervise cooking activities as needed, follow recipes, operate equipment, maintain food safety HACCP guidelines, keep production records, and train teammates.

Qualifications

• Prior culinary experience is required; at least 5 years is preferred.
• HACCP guidelines and health/sanitation standards knowledge.
• Ability to follow established recipes and menus.
• Flexibility to work various shifts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cooking activities as assigned by Food Service Director.
• Prepare various entrees and menu items following established recipes.
• Operate and clean equipment after each use; perform routine cleaning.
• Store, label, and date food items per policy; manage storage of dry goods and cold items.
• Follow HACCP guidelines to ensure food quality and safety; comply with health regulations.
• Assist in maintaining accurate daily production records and completing required documentation.
• Assist in cross-training of employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
