Chartwells Higher Education Dining Services is hiring for full-time COOK positions at 1000 N Dixie Avenue, Cookeville, TN 38505, located on Tennessee Tech University grounds. Prior culinary experience is required with a preference for 5+ years. The role offers a fixed pay rate of $16.00 per hour and benefits where available.

Prior culinary experience is required; at least 5 years is preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring proper temperatures and attractive presentation.
Maintains cleanliness and safety by cleaning kitchen after preparation and serving, storing or discarding excess food per safety rules.
Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed.
Assists in ordering and receiving of all food and supplies; supports in production planning and record-keeping.
Follows HACCP standards and presents food properly; reports maintenance issues promptly.
