Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Cook III to join our kitchen team. The role involves safely operating all kitchen equipment, supporting menu development, and coordinating large catered events in a hospital setting.

The position requires 3-5 years of high-volume dining experience, some college or technical training, and a Food Handler certification within 30 days of employment. Flexibility to work evenings is expected.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and effective problem-solving skills.
• 3-5 years' experience in a high-volume fine dining restaurant, hotel, country club, or equivalent required.
• Food Handler certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate all kitchen equipment.
• Assist in inventory management, month end, purchasing of food supplies, menu development, and coordination of large catered events.
• Maintain all kitchen equipment and work area to sanitary standards.
• Coordinate with third party vendors to ensure stocked inventory.
• Organize event timelines for smooth execution.
• Assist in recipe development.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
