Compass Group USA, operating as Restaurant Associates in Chicago, seeks a Senior Cook to join our culinary team. The role is full-time, Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:00 PM, at JPMorgan Chase in Chicago, IL.

Must have catering, banquet, and a la carte experience to prepare diverse entrees and maintain high standards. As part of Restaurant Associates, you’ll follow HACCP guidelines and contribute to accurate production records, while benefiting from a comprehensive benefits program and ongoing

• Minimum catering, banquet, and a la carte experience required.
• Experience in large-scale food production preferred.
• Ability to prepare a variety of menu items.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cooking activities as assigned by the Food Service Director.
• Prepare entrees and menu items following recipes.
• Operate and clean equipment after use; perform routine cleaning.
• Store, label, and date food items per policy; maintain storage.
• Follow HACCP guidelines to ensure safety and quality.
• Comply with health and sanitation regulations.
• Maintain daily production records and required documentation.
• Assist in cross-training of staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Summary: Prepares food to ensure it is nutritious and properly flavored in accordance with applicable federal, state, local and company standards, guidelines and regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• May oversee the cooking activities of food service associates as assigned by Food Service Director.
• Prepares various entrees and menu items following established recipes.
• Operates and cleans equipment after each use. Performs scheduled routine cleaning.
• Stores, labels and dates food items according to policy. Helps maintain organized storage of dry goods and refrigerated and frozen products.
• Follows HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply.
• Complies with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.
• Assists Food Service Director in maintaining accurate daily production records and completes all required documentation, reports, and logs as assigned.
• Assists in the cross training of employees.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
