Job summary

Highgate Hotels, Renaissance Las Vegas, is seeking a professional Cook to prepare all food items for the Restaurants, Room Service, Employee Cafeteria and Banquets in accordance with standardized recipes and quality standards.

The role requires culinary experience and the ability to work flexible hours, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen, controlling waste and costs while delivering appealing dishes across multiple service outlets.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Culinary experience required.
• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Ability to stand during entire shift and withstand temperature variations.
• Thorough knowledge of menus and hotel-standard preparation.
• Proficiency in charbroiling, poaching, deep-frying, sauté, braising, roasting and par-cooking.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all storage areas.
• Prepare and display buffet items according to hotel standards.
• Prepare food for Restaurant, Room Service, Employee Cafeteria and Banquets.
• Support any kitchen position as needed.
• Follow Health Department and company regulations for safety and storage.
