Job summary

Farther is building a cutting-edge wealth-management platform powered by production-ready conversational AI. The role centers on architecting and delivering end-to-end AI features that enable clients and advisors to interact with the system through sophisticated chatbot experiences.

You will own backend AI components, design with safety and reliability in mind, and collaborate with product, data engineering, and business teams to ship impactful, enterprise-grade solutions.

The Role

You’ll architect the conversational AI systems, transforming how clients and advisors interact with our platform. We're moving from traditional web interfaces to intelligent, agentic experiences – think LinkedIn's AI service agent model where chatbots handle real financial transactions end-to-end. We want builders who ship production AI, not researchers. You’ll have real autonomy, make architectural decisions, and own outcomes. We operate differently – you're measured by results, not process.

Your Impact

• Own conversational AI features end-to-end, from requirements through production deployment
• Architect chatbot systems using LLMs, RAG pipelines, and agentic workflows

• Jump into difficult problems with tenacity – production issues, complex prompt engineering, unfamiliar model behaviors

The Ideal Match

• 5+ years software engineering experience with backend focus
• Experience building conversational AI or chatbot applications in production
• Strong Python and SQL skills – this is fundamentally a Python engineering role
• Hands‑on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG patterns, and agent frameworks
• Professional delivery experience at Fortune 500 or equivalent enterprise environment
• Self‑directed and autonomous – you thrive with ownership and prefer results over rigid process
• Product‑focused mindset – AI exists to solve business problems!
