eagle Controls is seeking qualified professionals to join our Controls team. eagle Controls uses the most advanced, user-friendly automation systems in the market. eagle designs, builds, programs and commissions building automation system projects for new or existing construction across a variety of markets.

We are currently looking for a Senior Controls Technician to join our Controls team. This position will be based out of our Charlotte, NC office with travel to regional jobsites. Our ideal candidate for a Senior Controls Technician is someone who has 5+ years of experience and will bring a strong sense of leadership, direction, and commitment to our projects.

Primary responsibilities for eagle’s Senior Controls Technician include:
  • Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and clients to develop control system designs that meet project requirements.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of control system programming using industry standard protocols and software tools.
  • Configuring and integrating control devices, sensors, actuators, and other components into the overall system design.
  • Performing system testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting to ensure proper functionality.
  • Assisting in leading a team of controls technicians, providing technical guidance, mentoring, and support throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitoring project progress, identifying potential risk or issues, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Conducting preventative maintenance activities, including system inspections, diagnostics, and performance optimization.
  • Developing and maintaining documentation, including as-built drawings, technical manuals, and system configurations.
  • Proactively identifying opportunities for system enhancements, energy savings, and operational improvements.
  • Participating in professional development activities, such as training seminars and conferences, to enhance your knowledge and skills.
Primary qualifications for eagle’s Senior Control Technician include:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in servicing, installing, programming, and commissioning building automation control systems.
  • Strong proficiency in control system programming one or more of the following brands: Delta Controls, Distech, and/or Tridium. In-depth knowledge of industry-standard protocols (BACnet, Modbus, etc..) and their implementation in controls systems.
  • Proficiency troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues in control systems.
  • Demonstrates leadership abilities and experience in guiding junior team members.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
