Job summary

SSR Mining Inc. in Colorado seeks a Controls Systems Programmer to support and optimize automation across the CC&V fixed plant, including crushing circuits, ADR processing facilities, remote pumping systems, and solution treatment operations.

You will troubleshoot, program, and continuously improve Rockwell-based PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems to keep operations safe and efficient. The role requires 5+ years in industrial controls, strong Rockwell experience, SAP CMMS proficiency, and collaboration

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of industrial controls experience.
• Strong experience with Rockwell Automation systems (ControlLogix, Studio 5000, FactoryTalk, PanelView).
• Knowledge of industrial networks and communications.
• Experience with SAP for work orders (creating/closing, documenting labor/materials).
• Experience in gold processing operations (ADR, heap leach, solution treatment).
• Willingness to contribute to budgeting and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot PLC, HMI, SCADA, and instrumentation systems across the fixed plant.
• Develop, modify, and maintain Rockwell-based control logic.
• Support crushing, ADR, pumping, and solution treatment systems.
• Assist with installation, commissioning, and upgrades of control systems.
• Perform system analysis and implement process improvements.
• Maintain documentation and revisions in SAP.
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams.
• Provide after-hours troubleshooting support and remote access.
• Create, manage, and close work orders in SAP with accurate labor and parts data.
• Support planning and scheduling with input on scopes and maintenance strategies.
• Promote safe work practices per MSHA and SSR Mining standards.
