Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a candidate to support the Preferred Controls Proactive Risk Identification team, helping create a best-in-class client experience and risk controls environment across Consumer Investments, Financial Center, Small Business and Lending.

The role drives engagement to identify and lead execution on strategic opportunities to implement and mitigate key controls, streamline processes, associate/client experience, and support the overall Preferred Regulatory and Issues

Qualifications

• Strong communications/presentations skills.
• Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel with ability to tell a story at the executive level.
• Ability to track and drive execution on priorities across lines of business.
• Self-starter able to work independently with minimal oversight.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
• Provide statistical analysis to identify trends and outliers.
• Knowledge of brokerage and/or banking industry, internal policies and mitigation strategies.
• Ability to influence others with effective negotiating skills.
• Familiar with risk mitigation and controls development.
• Prior experience in a risk or control function.

Responsibilities

• Complete PTRAT (Preferred Tactical Risk Assessments).
• Drive execution of strategic initiatives and cross-team projects (process efficiency, risk mitigation).
• Track and monitor performance metrics for team opportunities.
• Oversee design and effectiveness of risk and control environment.
• Support monitoring and testing of controls and QA processes.
• Implement optimized QA practices to support business continuity.
• Conduct QA activities: controls, cases, reporting results.
• Identify areas for testing automation and process improvements.
• Support regulatory exams, internal audits, and governance dashboards.
