Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR in the Auburn Hills, MI area seeks a Senior / Lead Controls Project Engineer to lead large-scale automation projects, provide technical leadership, and drive successful commissioning.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in industrial process controls, strong PLC/HMI skills, experience with EPLAN/AutoCAD, and are willing to travel 25–50% for site work; a BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent is required and US work authorization.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience with industrial process controls (temperature, pressure, humidity, flow, and fluid handling).
Experience with process equipment and instrumentation (sensors, valves, pumps, piping, tanks, ovens, furnaces).
Strong PLC/HMI programming, electrical control design, troubleshooting and commissioning. Omron, Mitsubishi, or Toyopuk desired; AB and Siemens also welcome.
Experience with PID control, instrumentation, control loops, VFDs, and industrial networks.
Experience with EPLAN and/or AutoCAD, electrical schematics, control panels, component selection.
Ability to lead controls engineering projects and interface with customers during installation and commissioning.
Experience with industrial ovens or furnaces and pretreatment/E-Coat systems is advantageous.
Willingness to travel ~25–50% overnight for site work.
BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience; authorized to work in the United States.
Must pass standard pre-hire checks (background, drug screen, references).
