Job summary

Slate Auto is seeking an experienced Controls Process Engineer to support brownfield production facilities and ensure equipment and processes meet specifications. You will work with the Manufacturing Project team to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency at launch, while guiding continuous improvement and safety compliance.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in automotive manufacturing, expertise in automation design, PLC programming, and robotics integration, plus proficiency with TIA Portal,

Qualifications

• 8+ years of manufacturing experience in the automotive industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Automation and Control or equivalent.
• Experience with automation design, commissioning and robotics.
• Strong PLC programming and controls integration skills.

Responsibilities

• Document generation and electrical/controls specification.
• Lead integration of MES and third-party equipment.
• Ensure high equipment efficiency and minimal downtime during launch.
