Job summary
SI Group is seeking a Lead Process Controls Engineer to collaborate with Production and Process Improvement teams to implement and support automation systems across facilities. You will understand plant processes and apply automation hardware and software, including programming, start-up, and operations support.
You will drive process control strategies for batch and continuous manufacturing, develop standards, and provide training to operations staff, while supporting IT/OT convergence and site
Qualifications
- BS in Chemical or Electrical Engineering or related field
- 10+ years in process industry equipment knowledge
- Experience with DCS, historians, and PLCs
- Knowledge of automation standards and cybersecurity for industrial control systems
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate automation/monitoring system implementation across platforms
- Provide technical support for affiliate manufacturing operations and personnel
- Develop training for operations on automation systems and process control
- Participate in MOC and PHA related to process control
- Identify automation project needs and assist with capital budgets
- Maintain site automation hardware and networks across multiple manufacturing sites
