Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Controls/Automation Engineering required. PE license preferred.
• 10+ years in industrial controls within a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
• 5+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong project management and capital project execution experience.
• In-depth knowledge of instrumentation and controls systems.
• Foundation Fieldbus protocol systems and infrastructure experience.
• Experience with SCADA architecture deployment.
• Solid troubleshooting background in controls systems.
• Ability to provide technical guidance to operations; SAP knowledge preferred.
• Willingness for on-call support and after-hours work.

Responsibilities

• Lead Controls Engineering team to support a 24/7 manufacturing operation.
• Oversee plant automation standards, control system architecture, PLC/SCADA programming.
• Administer PI Historian system and data infrastructure.
• Provide troubleshooting support for ongoing operations, including callouts.
• Develop data-driven methods to improve process and equipment reliability.
• Ensure site regulatory compliance for process controls.
• Follow Change Management procedures for control changes.
• Interface with vendors to ensure best-known methods and documentation.
• Lead controls engineering activities for capital projects and budgets.
