Prysmian in Windham, CT seeks a Controls Engineer to own the PLC and software driving our production equipment. You will collaborate with maintenance and engineering to maximize uptime and performance on wire and cable manufacturing assets.

The role blends hands-on troubleshooting with strategic project work. A electrical engineering degree and 5+ years in manufacturing are required; CAD and Wonderware experience are a plus. On-site role with opportunities to impact safety and efficiency.

Formación

• 5+ years in manufacturing, direct wire and cable experience preferred.
• Strong PLC programming and CAD skills required.
• Experience with Wonderware is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Walk the line with maintenance, check PLC logic and backups before shift.
• Break down electrical schematics to component level to isolate issues.
• Refine and debug machine control logic across PLC/HMI and related software.
• Coordinate vendors and external engineers for installations and repairs.
• Advance projects from concept through startup, managing costs and safety.
• Support the Engineering & Maintenance Manager with inputs for budgets.
• Harden plant‑floor network communications and ensure archives/backups.
