Job summary

Quest Global is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to lead commissioning and startup of automated material handling systems. You will work with PLCs, HMI/SCADA, industrial networks, and cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and to safety and quality standards.

The role requires travel up to 80% within the US and on-site leadership during SAT/go-live, with mentoring of junior engineers and ongoing process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Controls/Mechatronics/Automation Engineering or related technical field.
• 8+ years of controls engineering experience.
• 5+ years of commissioning experience in industrial automation.
• Experience commissioning large-scale automated warehouse or material handling systems.
• Strong experience with Rockwell Studio 5000/Allen‑Bradley and Siemens TIA Portal.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site commissioning for automated warehouse and material handling systems.
• Perform PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, scanner checks; validate control sequences.
• Coordinate with customers, subcontractors, and project management.
• Provide technical updates and mentoring to junior engineers.
• Drive commissioning best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
