Proactive Global seeks an experienced Controls Engineer to join their team in Port Clinton, Ohio. The role involves taking ownership of controls software development and building best‑in‑class automation solutions from the ground up, with 25% travel and one week per month in the office alongside the engineering team.

You will develop PLC software using Rockwell Studio 5000 and/or Siemens TIA Portal, design function blocks and AOIs, and contribute to standards, documentation and training

Formación

• Minimum 5 years of controls engineering experience.
• Background in warehouse automation and parcel handling.
• Proven track record in developing PLC software from scratch.

Responsabilidades

• Develop PLC software from scratch using Rockwell Studio 5000 and/or Siemens TIA Portal.
• Design reusable function blocks, AOIs and structured PLC software architectures.
• Create and maintain programming standards, engineering documentation and training materials.
• Support controls software development from initial design through testing, FAT and commissioning.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality automation systems.
• Help develop and improve the company's controls engineering processes and capabilities.
