Job summary

Dover Food Retail, part of the Dover Corporation, is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer in Conyers, GA. You will design, program, and document control systems for commercial refrigeration, diagnosing alarms, and supporting field deployment.

You will work with engineers to translate requirements into robust control strategies, develop tests, and continuously improve alarm accuracy to ensure reliable equipment performance for customers.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering, or 7+ years in programming, troubleshooting, and diagnosing electrical/controls systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop programs and tools for product and customer needs (e.g., Copeland E2/3, Danfoss SM800A, Carel PR300).
• Collaborate with engineers on deployment strategy to field-ready products.
• Assist in development of tools for customer system integration.
• Design troubleshooting trees for refrigeration systems and controls.
• Design sequencing and test methods to isolate root causes of controls alarms.
• Independently develop control strategies for refrigeration systems.
• Improve testing sequences using field data and warranty information.
• Capture and apply customer requirements for controls strategy and integration.
• Recommend alarm thresholds to improve alarm accuracy and usefulness.
