Job summary

NAES Corporation seeks a highly experienced Controls Engineer for a large power generation facility in Hubbard, TX. You will lead the design, configuration, and commissioning of DCS, SCADA, EMS, PLC, turbine control, and associated automation systems, coordinating with OEMs and plant personnel to ensure safe startup and high reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Controls, Computer Engineering or related field.
• Extensive experience in power generation or heavy industrial control systems (DCS/SCADA/EMS/PLC).
• Experience with Honeywell, GE Mark VI, ABB, or Allen-Bradley platforms.
• Knowledge of gas turbines, BESS, and balance-of-plant equipment; commissioning preferred.
• Experience with MOC processes and uptime improvements.
• Must possess a valid, unrestricted U.S. driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead control system readiness, installation, configuration, and commissioning of DCS, SCADA, EMS, PLC, turbine control, communications, and automation systems.
• Coordinate integration and testing with turbine controls, BESS, electrical systems, and balance-of-plant equipment.
• Support FAT, SAT, system turnover, and startup; troubleshoot and resolve control system issues using RCA.
• Develop and maintain control system standards, software backups, network architecture, alarm databases, control narratives, and as-built drawings.
• Provide technical leadership to optimize reliability, and asset performance.
• Lead RCA investigations of control system failures and instrumentation issues.
