Job summary

Tyson Foods in Springdale, Arkansas seeks a Lead Engineer for Controls on site. You will provide technical direction for technology-based processes, develop department-specific environments, and ensure IT service levels while shaping policies and best practices.

A strong PLC/SCADA background and 6+ years of related experience are required. The role focuses on hardware, software, and equipment planning, vendor coordination, and cross-functional collaboration to maintain uptime and support

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other technical area.
6+ years of experience in Information Systems or related area with proven programming experience.
Strong knowledge of SCADA (Ignition and iFix), 4GL programming, scripting, server based, and SQL.
PLC programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting in industrial environments with ladder logic and I/O mapping.
Experience with HMI integration and interpreting electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

Oversee and provide expert technical direction for technology-based processes.
Develop and manage technical environments for each department and meet IT service level agreements.
Plan, support, and implement IT solutions to enhance mission-critical operations.
Define and implement IT policies, standards, procedures, and best practices.
